Default replaced instrument cluster

I replaced my instrument cluster with a used one and now my truck won't start. Do I need to reset the PCM?

After a certain year , the instrument cluster is one of the modules in a network and could require the reprogramming.

If you have not solved the problem yet, you might try removing the negative battery cable from the negative post and holding the the end you removed against the positive cable a few minutes to allow the computer to reset. Try it and see if it helps.
