Stalling F-150 while making hard turn. Please help!
Hi,
I have a 2005 F-150 V8 4.6 XLT Triton 2WD Super Cab with around 83.5K miles. I have been having problems with my truck stalling when I am making slow speed full turns or idling at a stop light. This problem started to occur after I changed my car battery around 2 months ago. Also my truck has never had the timing belt changed. If any one has any suggestions on what this problem might be caused from I would greatly appreciate it. If there is any other information you need from me just let me know. Thanks, Andy

You might just have an Idle Air Control motor failing. This is the main part that controls your idle speed. You can remove it and clean it to see if it helps.
Hi, you don't have to change the timing belt because on that engine it's a belt but a chain. So no maintenance needed. The idle air control as mentionned by way2old can be the problem. Maybe you can have it scan to get the code if there is any in the computer memory.
