Default Start Problems

I have a 1986, Ford F-150. Yesterday, it had trouble starting at various stops around town. It almost behaved as if the battery was dead, except that the lights were all strong, the power windows went up and down without any sluggishness. The clock and blinkers are strong.

This morning, it won't start at all. It won't turn over. There is one click and then nothing.

I tried jumping it with my wife's car. Still nothing. Checked all cables I could see. They all seem fine.

If I can get it started one more time, I have a place that does electrical checks for free. Otherwise, I'll have to pay to have it towed. Any ideas?

BTW, I love my old Ford. I spent a lot of money on engine work, more than I would've paid for something newer, just because I couldn't bear to part with it.

I think its your battery, sometimes they'll get a bad cell and can't be jumped started. Take it out and have it checked
