My trailer tongue will not allow me to get the sticker any closer than 22 inches from the center of the hitch ball. Therefore the sticker will start at 22 inches and end at 26 inches. My question is with the sticker outside the specifications in the set up guide will the back up assist still work?

 

I do not believe this will work correctly seeing as the sticker is suppose to be between 17 and 22 inches from the ball, I would if possible change/move whatever is on your trailer tongue to get the sticker in the correct place.
This is a guess but I would assume that the camera may not always be able to see the entire sticker if is more then 22 inches from the ball and that will threw the system off.
You could use scotch tape to put the stick where you want and see if that works even when not in spec.

 

Thank you for getting back to me. The way I Solved the problem is to buy a new tongue extender for the trailer and was able to place to stick her in the right place and the back up assist works great.
