throttle response
Before suggesting anything, there are a few things we should know.
What kind of maintenance has been done to the vehicle?
A little more detail like , does it happen at any and all speeds , engine warmed up or cold,
The 5.4 is big enough to provide plenty of power under most conditions.
Miles on the odometer, are you the original owner , something like using other than the recommended motor oil can cause accelerated wear of critical parts, etc. So, can you help us out with addl info?

If you want to increase throttle response, I would suggest using a tuner. Its the best way to increase throttle response in my opinion. Just make sure you get a decent one like the SCT x4 or something. An after market cold air intake will also increase throttle response by allowing the air to flow quicker to the engine. I wouldn't bother with an upgraded throttle body until you have these two upgrades done. If you want to find out more about the SCT x4 handheld tuner, just click HERE.
Hope this helps.
