Trouble Shifting

Default Trouble Shifting

Hi guys I'm brand new to this site. This is the first ford I've ever had and I'm not happy. Anyway, when I try to shift the truck into reverse it doesn't move it sounds like it wants to but wont. Then when I shift into neutral it's like the car is in drive. I'm sorry if this is a simple question I only know enough to get myself by.

Don't know for sure what you have , but it does sound like the shift cable down at the trans has moved or the screws at the bottom of the steering column that holds the arm for the other end of the shift cable might have become loose.
