Default warn hubs - yes or no?

I have a 94 F150 with automatic locking hubs. The front driver's side has a spring and small ball bearing in addition to the inner & outer bearings and race. One tiny problem: the bearing looks like it exploded. I'm not entirely sure what the bearing is and I'm considering converting back to manual hubs.
I found a pretty good deal on a set made by warn but I've heard from some owners with heavier duty f350's and f450's that they need to replace them alot so I'd like to get some feedback.

We have replaced OEM hubs with Warn and have not have any problems. Just remember, the manual hubs need engaged occasionally to keep the gears from freezing up.
