Default Water in air filter housing. 1984 300 L6

I am finding some oil in the air filter as well as water in the bottom of the housing. I have changed the pcv? valve as well as the crankcase ventilation filter and still getting a little water after driving less than 5 miles. Any ideas of what is going on? Thanks in advance.

You did not mention anything about the mileage on the engine/vehicle.
It does sound like the engine is puffing more compression into the air filter housing than the PCV system can take in.

I do not know for sure how many miles on it as I bought it 6 or 7 years ago and the speedometer and odometer were disconnected. I would guess about 140k. Does it sound like the pcv system is in need of repair? This really concerns me. Thank you.

What might be considered,
If a compression test were done , it would provide some info on if the engine had lots of wear for instance.
If that was the case you would have a better idea of just where you stand and that no amount of small parts replacement will do any good.
Once that was done , depending on what results were obtained we move on to other areas.
It would not make much sense to throw parts at a worn out engine. I would either have that test done or do it myself.
What do you think?
