wiper problem

Default wiper problem

I have a 1993 ford f150 4x4 I am having problems with my windshield wipers... the problem I am having is that when I turn them on they shut off when they want to...when the ignition is on... when I roll my window down or plug something into the cigarette lighter they turn on to... what can cause this? please help me

You might start with checking the fuse panel near the parking brake. If any moisture got in there the fuse connections might have some corrosion on them.

I checked the fuse panel every thing is good what else can i check

The wiper system and the windows are part of the body control module (GEM) generic electronic module. If that module is getting conflicting signals it can do some really weird things. You might start with checking all ground connections you can find that tie in all the sheet metal grounds.
