Default 05 F250 6.0 issues

In the past 24 hours I have been driving down the highway on two different occasions and all of a sudden my truck starts sputtering like its going to die and blows out a ton of white smoke. I pulled over and let the truck continue to run and then revved it up and it worked its self back out. What could cause this? Anyone have any suggestions?

Exhaust Color Diagnosis | White Smoke Blue Black

That is what happens when coolant leaks into the combustion chamber and is burnt.
That is also usually the sign of a headgasket leak.
