Default 1972 F250 restoration

Hey y’all, I’m in the process of restoring this truck. But I found this **** on the right side of the steering column that I’m not sure what it does. I tried to troubleshoot and find what it did but I had no luck. If y’all have any idea, that would be extremely helpful! Thank you!

I think someone added that. It doesn't look original to me. You should be able to trace it to its destination and figure out what it does. Try rotating that ****, duck and see what happens.

Without looking at the rest of the vehicle, and the appearance of a std trans, it could be but without looking maybe something to engage a PTO. (Power take off)

Can we get some pix of the underside of the truck?
