Default 1989 5.8 L F-250 won't stay running

First off, I am just learning how to work on this thing and I need a lot of help. The truck will not run. I can get it started but it quickly dies. When It is running and I press the gas it bogs down. I have replaced the plugs and wires, the IAC, the air filter and the fuel filter. I don't know what else to do. Please help!

Thanks

If I let it sit for a bit it will start right up and run for about 10 seconds and then die again. after that I can't keep it running

It could be any number things....have you checked to see what code #'s come up when you 'read' the computer?..that may give you clue.I would checked fuel filter & pump as an old school guess...they're located under the truck along the inside of the driver's side frame rail.

I replaced the fuel filter but haven't taken a look at the pump yet. I will try that next. I don't really have a way to hook it up to a computer

the fuel pumps rearely go bad,but carefully inspect the wiring from the harness to the pump. The blade terminals can get loose, dirty,or otherwise faulty.
