Hello

Looking at buying a mint 7.6 L 1999 F250, any concerns out there. Took it for a drive, and it seems solid and responds well under a load. I am wanting to pull a5500 lbs trailer with it.

7.3...
How many miles on the clock? Auto, manual trans? 2x, 4x? With any used vehicle, the best assurance is if all the services were done/documented and at the regular intervals/mileage.. The 7.3 is a solid performer, and mileage is good for the most part.. Will certainly pull a 5500 trailer with ease...

Right sorry 7.3 it is. 83,335 Kilometres or 53,000 miles on it. It is 4X4 and seems tight, no noise turing in the front and it doesn't hesitate when under a load at all. Here are the pics of it. Anything else you can through my way I am very interested. Thanks

Sounds like a pretty steep price in comparision to here.. Are Ford trucks/S/D's inflated that much there?

Sharp truck though..

Absolutely everything is more expensive, and you think you pay alot of tax!!! Thanks for the information, getting a used truck without any rust on it up in these parts is a bonus!

The trans should have been serviced at 30K, 15K severe duty.. The 4R100 trans is an adeqate trans, but is 'very' important to have the interval changes done.. Prior service docs would be a big plus, but looks like it was well cared for.. Other than the drivers seat bottom bolster looks to be breaking down a bit, looks pretty solid....

I have a 97 250HD with the 460 in it and now have 179K miles on it. The truck still runs great and tows trailers just fine. I go through a quart of oil about every 3000 miles. Still a solid truck. I do have one quirk with it though. No matter how I run the numbers or drive, I get about 3 MPG better with the front tank. It's even more noticeable while towing. Can't figure it out.
