Clicking noise on 1999 4x4 ranger

Angry Clicking noise on 1999 4x4 ranger
In 2wd there is a clicking sound on the passenger side front tire, in 4x4 the sound goes away, but I cannot drive on 4x4 on dry pavement. Does anyone know what to look at first.

Default ticking
jack up the tire and check your front bearings,do you have a check engine or other light on ,it will screw up your brake sensor is why i ask,thats what mine did
