I believe you have the option to engage the hubs manually. Two questions,
When you engage the transfer case does the front driveshaft turn?
If it does and you lock the hubs manually do you now get 4WD?

I received your replys. I also have the same vehicle and I believe it's called shifting on the fly. Anyway, I just arrived home and need to leave for a meeting. I will try to be more helpful when I return. I don't know all the answers, but I was an ASE certified Master Heavy Duty Truck Technician and Master Automotive Technician . My certifications expired last year, but that shouldn't make any difference because you don't forget this stuff overnight. Will get back to you ASAP. Thanks, Hank

On the transfer case should be a solenoid/ motor with wiring going to it. After replacing the clutch did you reconnect the wires correctly. Please recheck. I would presume the 4 wheel drive worked before you changed the clutch, is this correct? If it did work, just recheck all the wiring connections especially to the transfer case. The signal to change to 4 wd goes from the switch to a module that determines vehicle speed etc., then down to the shift solenoid/motor to execute the shift into 4WD so shift on the fly can be executed. Let me know how you make out. Hank
