Default 2004 F250 new owner

I bought a 2004powerstroke F250 6.0 and want some help knowing what type of tools i will need to perform maintance on the vehicle myself. The truck has 20,000 miles on it and I dont have any maintaince records. What do you all suggest? I at least want to change the oil/filter and fuel filter? I am new to Fords so I would be gratefull for any help.

Congrats on the new rig,, and Welcome

Fuel filter/s should have been changed already, if not its due/overdue.. You'll need a 36mm or 1 7/16socket (little loose) for the oil/fuel caps, a 6mm allen for the fuel module drain.. A drain pan plenty largethat'll catch more than the engine holds The oil filter is self draining, so unscrew thew cap and let it drain 'prior' to replacing the drain plug.. If you need any service/repair info, or diagrams, let me know..

You may want to have an 'oasis report' run on the VIN from Ford.. It'll give you the repair/warranty history of the truck.. The dealer should run it for you at no cost...
