Default 2005 F-350 6.0 AC Control Stopped Working

Turned the truck on to warm the plugs, AC blew. Started the truck and the AC control and display went completely dead?

Turn your headlights on and off and see if the A/C controls return. If that doesn't work disconnect the batteries and then connect them back up. If either of these suggestions work, then the issue is with the battery saver relay in the Instrument Cluster.

i found a recommendation to start the truck, unplug the head unit, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. That worked, at least for now.

It will keep happening from time-to-time. I find cycling the headlights works just as well.

Not a big deal to live with.

I will definitely try the headlights next time, that’s much easier’
