2011 f350 not engaging 4x4
Hi new member here I have a 2011 f350 6.7 abd the 4x4 won't engage. As soon as you switch it, it lights up the dash with check 4x4. It doesn't set a code even though the wrench light comes on. Replaced the motor on the transfer case, still same situation. Tried locking hubs manually that doesn't work, checked all fuses everything is good. Anyone have this problem or has it been addressed before? Any help is appreciated greatly.
right I already know this but there is no code, ford dealer scanned it and a mechanic friend of mine also did. No code
Check the wiring harness that goes into the transfer case for any damage, Ive seen them get ripped up before.
There is something called pending codes, they are faults that occurred once but needs to happen twice for the warning light to come on.
If you dont see anything damaged with a visual inspection then what I would do next is do a on demand test of the module/system and see if there are any pending codes.
If the fault happens every time you try to engage 4x4 then this should be easy to do with the dealer IDS or maybe FORScan which you can get for free, granted I do not know if FORScan can do this.

I got a autophix scan tool coming hopefully I can pull a code if any there. Not bringing it to the dealer again $140 an hour adds up quickly.
