I have a turbine oil leak or at least a leak in that area. I checked you tube and found few videos, a couple refer to a crankcase filter needing to be changed. Those were on 2017 models and I have a 2012. The local ford dealer says they don't show a crankcase ventilation filter as being a part for the 2012. Another video points to a pcv hose blockage.
I see some sort of metal case behind the under the hood fuel filter but I do not see bolts on it like that 2017 video had for the filter case.
Any suggestions?
And while I'm here does anyone know the name of those clamps on the under the hood fuel filter hoses. One of mine is broken.
TIA
As we all know the 1st gen 6.7 has some issues with oil leaks around the turbo and inter-cooler. This oil come from the crankcase ventilation box that gets feed into the turbo intake and sucks it through the intake system causing carbon buildup and oil buildup mostly around the turbo and inter-cooler.
My solution was to unplug the tube from that CVBox and get a plug to plug that intake and buy a coolant hose 5 foot long and reroute the vent to the driver side behind the wheel so it vents out the gases under the truck.
If you want stock I suggest you get a new filter and replace.
Oh and to pull that tube off you have to twist the gray cover to pull it off FYI.
also the answer to your question on the plastic clips to the fuel filter I would go to the ford dealership parts department and purchase new lines if they are broken, fuel leaks are never a good outcome for your motor.
Good luck
