oil filter leak

Default oil filter leak

I have a 1977 F-250 High Boy that is leaking from the oil filter and I cant get it to stop. I have tryed titening the filter, changing the filter and nothing is working. Does anyone have any seggestions for me? Anything would help. Thanx

Are you positive it's the filter mounting? The reason I ask is because if I remember correctly, there is an oil pressure sending unit up there (8 cyl) and that could be the source of the leak instead of the filter. What engine is in there?

if its not the sending unit i had one that did the same thing come to find out there was an old oil filter gasket stuck on the oil filter mount took the old one off an put a new filter on stopped the leak
