Default 2012 F-350 6.7 instrument cluster screen

I bought my truck brand new in 2012 and in 2014 I started having problems with the screen in the instrument cluster. Wasn’t much at first just some lines across the screen. Well now it’s a lot worse. The screen went out all together and I thought all was lost. Well it got really hot this summer and with my truck parked in the sun the screen came back on. It wasn’t perfect but it worked. Well now it’s cold out and the screen is back out. This makes no sense to me and I’ve checked all I know to check. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Greg,
Electronics can be fickle and from what you describe , to me, it sounds like there is a poor connection that is affected by temperature. That problem could be in the power supply to the display or any place in between. There is only so much one can do to confirm connections to the system are good , then it may require removal to be examined by a qualified repair facility. That is only my opinion and just maybe someone with more experience with the system can offer some better suggestions.
