2016 f250 transmission issue
If it was full and very close to the warm mark then the fluid level is fine. In the winter and after it's warmed up but before you drive set the parking brake and step on your pedal firmly, then shift to every gear and hold for around 10 seconds, keep this practice during winter time.

BTW if yours is powerstroke diesel with turbo 6.7L or any cars with turbo, especially like those ecoboost with small engines 1.5L to 2.3L (smaller engines with turbo will put heavier load to the turbo), always warm up to prolong the life of the turbo, and don't rev over 2500RPM for the first 5 minutes. It's fun to drive a turbo car but it's not easy to maintain it. Doesn't matter it's in winter or summer time, doesn't matter if the temp gauge on dash shows it's close to operating temperature, just don't drive aggressively (rev hard) for the first few minutes.
