Default 2017 F250 Arm Rest Tear

I have a 2017 F250, not even 2,500 miles on it. The driver's arm rest has developed a small tear on the front right corner just behind the handle. Ford has said to my dealer that is not their issue, it was caused by an outside source. I am wondering if anyone else is starting to see signs of this wear pattern?

Welcome to the site.

Same year and truck, same mileage, mine looks fine. Even gave mine a pinch tug. Solid.
Looking at the pic, it looks like there’s a hook point or flap piece at the front of the split?
Could be the material, and the vinyl is a soft thin type, so??

Did they offer any help, a discount on parts or ? If they we’re the selling dealer, I’d think they offer some sort of assistance..

The selling dealer submitted the pics to Ford and came back with a big, sorry. No offer of anything. I wrote a letter to Ford, I called customer service number, I just got a bunch of scripted answers. I have a feeling in a few months these are going to start showing up torn, I wanted to get it out there to see if anyone else is looking for someone who has same issue. Thanks for checking on it, if it tears, let me know.
