2019 F-250 Driver Side Tow Mirror not folding in
The driver side electric tow mirror on my 2019 F-250 is not folding in or out when the button is pressed. The passenger side mirror works as it should. There is no motor noise coming from the mirror. The telescoping and mirror adjustment buttons all work for the mirror. Any idea what the issue is or is there a way to reset?
When I had my 2020 it started doing that. Probably not the best way to fix it but I rolled down the window and forced it out by hand when I pushed the button. I figure if it was broke or the gears were stripped I was going to replace it anyway.
It started working again after. I always liked to have them set so they folded in when I locked the door and out when I unlocked.
Some will say this is not a good idea because the gears are made of plastic/nylon ( some type of synthetic material) so they will strip out easy.
However, my thought has always been if you have to park in a tight spot and the mirrors are out, some idiot will try to push them in and possibly do more damage then what the truck will do by itself.
