Default 2020 Ford F450 SuperDuty RAV/BuyBack

First off, I absolutely love this truck, loved this truck. I bought this truck with 6 miles on it, I was so excited. I transport from coast to coast so I needed something comfortable reliable and more importantly durable. I put $22,000 down from my savings account for the truck. The first month of owning it it was in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks, then it went in the shop for four days for a NoX sensor, then it went to the shop again for the NoX sensor, Then he went in the shop for a faulty battery, then he went in the shop for a transmission issue in which the transmission had to be replaced it was stuck in seventh gear. Then it went in the shop a few days later for the fuel system, now it’s in the shop again for the fuel system. I petitioned Ford for the buyback, the initial issue started at 26,000 miles, that’s where my usage fee goes in. Ford has given me three options option one surrender the truck pay $355 and walk away; option to swap the truck out for another similar truck with the same MSRP of $90,000 and. Pay $19,000; option three cash and keep receive a check for $3350 keep the truck and its issues or potential issues and resume the loan. Ford is not understanding that this truck has cost me more than the $20,000 that I put down, I don’t have an additional $20,000 to get a new truck. What I’m trying to do is have Ford absorb the usage fee, and swap the truck out. I get there losing money for the usage, but I’ve spent more than $10-$15,000 in bills and loaners in the time that this truck was in the shop, Ford will not loan me a comparable vehicle to continue towing with. I’ve had to use friends trucks to continue business. All in all, be careful with the new 2020 super duty’s 10 speed transmissions and the new engines that have come out. My entire fuel system had to be replaced my entire transmission had to be replaced, NoX sensors, Seatbelts, tailgate, camera, my navigation system has never worked properly inside the vehicle. This is an absolute disaster and nightmare that I’m dealing with on this truck, the RAV specialist is of no help, she doesn’t call, I think I may have irritated her with my continuous questions. I have until Thursday to have an answer for them on what option I’m going to go with. I will keep you guys posted I just came on social media to vent, and get others input, I understand no one here is an attorney and can give legal advice but pointed in the right direction helps out a lot.

So, just an update: I accepted the Cash and Keep offer and will be doing a buyback once my truck is ordered, the dealer took my order today and should be in 2.5 months, ford deferred my payment for this month and will be keeping an eye on things as they progress. I ordered a 2021 Silver Spruce with Dark Marsala interior. I will keep you guys posted here as things progress or regress. Signing papers today for C&K.

This sounds like a terrible situation! It seems like you might have gotten a lemon with all those problems.
Here's what I might try:

Talk to Ford again and explain how much trouble you've had. They might not know how many problems you've faced.
Mention you want to return this truck and get a new one, without any extra fees since this one seems defective.
It's good to hear other experiences though. I have the same year Ford F450 Super Duty and haven't had any problems like yours. Hopefully that means some trucks are okay.

Keep us updated on what Ford says!
