Default 6.0 crankshaft sensor

I have an '05 F250 6.0 4WD. My truck surges when accelerating and I was told to replace the crankshaft sensor. I have the sensor but don't know where the sensor is located. Any advice?

It's on the passenger side of engine by A/C compressor. By the way, did you have any codes? I've seen lots of other issues cause a surge on accel.
