Default 66 Ford 250 Clutch Linkage Rod

I broke my clutch linkage rod and can't find the part anywhere. Any suggestions? I am worried about a weld not holding? Should i just have a new one made? Help..thanks

If I remember correctly the rod has a 90 degree bend on one end and is threaded on the other end. Is this correct? If it is , a good piece of 3/8 stock rod will probably work. Any shop or garage with a tap & die set and torch should be able to make one for you. What do you think? hanky
