7.3 won’t start in park or neutral
Hello I’m new here 👋 But I got a 2000 ford 7.3. I put in a new gear shifter tube in today and it started right up so I thought everything was good. But now I’m off of work now and it won’t start. I’ve tried putting it in neutral still didn’t work. I then checked the neutral safety switch and the lines line right up. So could anyone here know the issue?
Welcome to the site..
The shift indicator/pointer lines up as well? If the tube install went ok, and the indicator needle is adjusted correctly (if it was off at all) and matches the trans detent positions, take a test light out to the primary solenoid on the right inner fender. Have someone attempt to crank the engine and see if there’s a solenoid input generated from the ignition on through the TRS-Neutral safety out to the solenoid..
