Default 93 f250 5.8 not charging

I've put on new battery cable ends, new alternator, new alternator wiring harness, new belt tensioner, checked all the fuses and nothing.
the exciter wire is getting about 3.5v.
the battery llights on. Though there was tape over it.
someone in the past has cut the fusible link with the 5 wires by the starter solenoid but has been wirking this way for some time. Even drove it 2 hours home.
battery accepts a charge from other vehicle. Solenoid was recently replaced too.
I get 0v from the alternator despite exciter getting voltage. Im taking the alternator to get checked in the next couple of days. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

You have a good plan so far.

The wise thing to do is ;
Get those jumpers somebody put in place of the regular fusible links out of there and install the correct size links.

Because there can be some temporary loads that would blow a fuse ,the links will handle that concern. Without that circuit protection you could have an under hood fire and lose everything. Also ,if possible get a diagram and double check what those characters did. One of those links very likely is involved with the charging circuitry.
