My first and second gear are not responding when I put them into gear. I just recently put new bushings in the shifter and topped off my transmission fluid. It started out stuck in first gear even with the shifter in the neutral position. Now first and second have no response but 3rd threw 5th and reverse work. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

 

I would suspect a problem with the shift fork/shift rail for the 1st and 2nd gears.
The only way to confirm this is to remove the cover and look at them.
