My right side tail light went out and needs replacing. I’m very unfamiliar with plug and play type led lights.

Currently the brand is Recon and I’d like to switch to a less expensive brand. Can I just plug in any led plug and play tail light?

Some LEDs come with an internal resistor while others require a resistor added to the circuit to operate correctly. You need to know just which type you purchased.

 

We are switching to Spyder brand. I watched a video on the installation and it seems to be the same as Recon. They both are circuit board type lights instead of bulbs. A friend said she believes the circuit board types have built in resistors.
