I removed the motor from my passenger door in my 02 f350 and it looks like it will only roll up, not down.. The gear is only spinning one way.. so i tested the up/down switch on the back door and it looks just fine... I took the motor apart and there looks to be a thermal control chip in the motor that i believe is the issue.. i figure a new motor will fix this issue, but was curious of 2 things.. anyone else have this issue with the motor fixing the problem.. and does anyone know where i can purchase just that chip and just fix the motor myself.. i"ve looked up the company online.. Otter Controls.. but not sure where one would go about actually buying one of these..
