Default RE: bad oil leak in front axel

when i got the truck it had 84,000 miles on it and i replaced the oil front and back, as well as tranny, engine ect.. because the poor fellow that owned it had been murdered and i didnt have his records, so i wanted to start fresh as i could.
i have no idea when hed changed them prior. i actualy realy dont know how often your supposed to change them generaly, in my past trucks ( used as well) i dont think i ever changed them but then i usualy only drove them for 50k miles before i resold them.

im actualy less concerned with getting these fixed than i am with why this is all happening all of a sudden. on the way from idaho to montana i hit a new construction bump in the road that literaly flung items out of the back of my truck ( with the tail gate up) onto the road. one item was close to 200 pnds ( was a hell of a "bump") i noticed the leaks after this. may not be related but im a bit worried ive damage more than i can see.

anyway, thanks for the support. this helps a lot specialy when dealing with the mechanic that will probobly be fixing it. it always helps to at least have a vague idea whats going on.
=)
