Having trouble finding Motorcraft Platinum spark plugs for my 360 FE. I do not want to put ACDelco NGK Auto light etc in my classic 72 Ford 360 FE engine. I read that the motorcraft platinums or a good fit for this engine but when I tried ordering them from AutoZone they sent me an email saying the order was delayed so it's obvious they're having supply chain problems. I ran Bosch Platinum's in my '65 Mustang with 302 block and 289 head. That engine ran amazing. But can't seem to find an application for Bosch Platinum's for the 360 FE. Any recommendations helpful...

 

Try a few different auto supply stores,, NAPA, Advance, A1 Auto, O'Reillys.

 

Yeah that's exactly what I did I found the motorcraft double platinums at Advance Auto. Going to pick them up tonight. The order from AutoZone was delayed because they didn't have any of them in stock and they still haven't shipped.

 

Personally over the years I've found the regular old copper plugs work best in these engines, especially in stock form. It actually takes more energy to fire a platinum plug, and double platinum plugs are designed for engines running 2 plugs per cylinder, where one plug fires normally, and the second fires in the reverse direction. Autolite makes copper plugs for Motorcraft, Autolite 45's are the plug of choice for the 360.
