Default Blowing fuses

2006 f250 6.blow diesel. Vacuum pump and turn signal fuses starting blowing. I know there are several reasons it could be. Hoping someone has had the issue and can narrow down to a known problem area. Thanks to all.

Do they blow as soon as you put the fuse in or otherwise?
If you were away from home and had to help yourself, a little extra knowledge helps.
The general idea is to isolate the areas , if possible.
If the fuse only blows when you go to use the signals, that would eliminate the vacuum system if electrical.
If it blows no matter which directional you select, there is no need to go checking wiring to the lights or the lights themselves.
The problem lies with power to the flasher or the signal switch.. Some flashers are module type and the only test is to remove or replace .

  • within minutes of replacing them whether or not I use the signals. Thank you. I appreciate all.

As long as you have some idea of what circuits that use protects, you might consider disconnecting the items and see just which might be causing the short circuit.

My manual shows the vacuum pump motor to be on fuse # 27 under the dash (2.27) - 15A. Ignition switch run feed. Is that correct?

Do you have Daytime Running Lights?
Electronic Shift On The Fly?
Parking aid module?
Heated seat?

The list in my 06 manual:
Heated mirror relay (Central Junction Box) - note, IIRC this relay is integral to the CJB and deemed not replaceable
Heated seat relay - under the drivers side front seat
Parking aid module - behind the dash, passenger side
Indicator flasher relay (Auxiliary Junction Box - behind the dash, in about the middle)
Brake shift interlock - below dash by brake pedal
Trailer tow relay battery charge (CJB)
Vacuum pump motor
ESOF solenoid - near the climate control blower
DRL, relays 1,2,3 (Battery Junction Box)

the only thing I have noted is no heated seat, vacuum motor and signals.
