Default Busted mirror cover- Fix idea?

Hi! We just purchased our 2015 Ford F250 last week. Less than a week off the lot and we came out this morning to find the mirror housing broken at the bottom. It still works, folds back fine, but we are concerned about water getting into the mechanism. While I am annoyed about the look, we cannot manage a dealer repair right now. Any ideas for a fix that might waterproof the mechanism until we can get it fixed right? Any way to bond some molded plastic to the inside or outside?
Thanks,
Rick

Welcome to the site

Have any images of the damaged area?
For a replacement, you might look at dismantlers offerings, eBay etc. The mirror heads a fairly expensive, and sourcing a quality used unit can save some coin..
