Default buying an engine help

i'm looking to get a 351w to replace the 302 in my 90 f250. where's a good place to get it online? been seeing alot of remanufactured ones but they aren't complete engines with all the bolt on n tin parts, electronics, hoses n such their. hoping to find one ready to be dropped in or at least a list of all the parts n such i need. my truck is an 1990 f250 xlt lariat standard cab 4x4 with 302 fi 4 speed tranny. not wanting to spend more than 3-4k on the engine alone if can help it.

Depending on where you live, the emission and local vehicle inspection programs, you could have some serious problems switching engine sizes and emission controls. States are getting stricter than in the past. As I recall the 351's had problems with soft valve guides. Hopefully a reman'd unit will have this problem corrected. You might check out "Jasper " engines and transmissions. Good luck, hanky
