damper tool
where can a guy get a damper remove and replace tool for a 460 motor. i checked ebay and summit but didn't find one for a ford. i guess most have three bolts and the 460 has four. thanks for any replies..

I've done all kinds of old Ford iron.
I've used the set shown, and I have a bar/beam puller like this one below.
I've always been able to pull the balancer back into place with the center bolt once the balancer is started. Never needed an installer, or a persuader...

tool
well, don't i look like a rookie. after i took the radiator and condenser off i was able to make the tool work on 2 holes. as far as the install goes, it is not a good idea to use the center bolt to pull on the damper. if it is to tight it could gall the threads. what should be used is a long threaded bolt with a nut and large plate. you run the nut on and then put the plate on and run the bolt into the crank. turn the nut and the damper goes on. i realized i can make this very easy. thanks for all the replies. i just had to get out of my own way.
