I have an 06 f350 and the dash needles are on 24/7. I have been told it the " ambient light sensor" on top of the dash, anyone ever has this issue and whats the fix ?

 

Do you have automatic headlights (to turn on at night) and does that feature work? IIRC that works off of the same sensor.

The sensor # is 2C3Z-13A018-AB

If you do have auto headlights and that feature is working, then the ambient light sensor is working. So then, your issue could be with the light intensity switch "wheel" on the dash.
