Death Rattle
I have a 2016 250 gas Super Cab 8’ bed. 45 k. Hit pot hole on New Jersey Turnpike at about 65 mph. Front end began to shake uncontrollably . Scared the hell out of me. Would not stop shaking until I slowed below 30 mph. Looked this up on the Internet to see that it is a recurring problem called “death rattle”. Ford should make an immediate announcement about this problem. And fix for free for anybody that experiences it. I have to replace steering ball joint, hydraulic steering damper and the steering gearbox as well as some other front end parts at 45,000 miles and that’s not right. $1300 in parts alone. This truck has 45,000 very light miles. Not a work truck. Anyone experiencing the same situation ? This must be a design flaw.
