Default dont go to autozone

as u no ive facing a horrible squeeking sound from my engine/ pulleys. i replaced everything that seemed suspicious under a stethoscope. well 300 dollars later my truck still squeeked. but today i went to a local ford mechanic that knew all my life. he looked up the belt number that was giving to me by auto zone. i replaced five belts for my truck and everytime i came in autozone gave me the same belt so i didnt think their was no problem. well after my mechanic checked the number the belt came up for an 8400 gvw truck. my truck is 8600gvw. he put the new belt on and the squeeking stopped. will the wrong gvw belt be the problem of my squeeks or will i face the noise in a couple of days.

Default RE: dont go to autozone

Well, there is only 200 lbs difference between 8400 gvwr and 8600 gvwr (the weight of one good sized man). I think I saw somewhere else that someone suggested you get a new belt, and you did. Result was that the squeaking stopped. I don't see any real problem here.
