Default E 250 rear wheel stud replacement

I have a rear stud that is spinning in the axle. To replace the stud do I have to remove rear axle to get the old stud out ? I have rear disc brakes. Thanks for any help

Most of the time, axle removal is not necessary. If the stud is loose , you should be able to position the stud in a location to remove the stud without any special tools and install a replacement.
The replacement stud is drawn into position using a wheel nut turned backwards and the nut is tightened until the stud is fully seated.
