Exhaust filter cleaning?
Back when I posted that question I was learning even though I had owned the truck already for 6 years and was still ignorant because I didn't bother to learn about it.
I'm sure I had forgot that I asked the question back then.
In 2021 I had just started to learn about Forscan and that I could montitor PIDs with Forscan Lite. And that's what I did. Just monitor the soot, load and exhaust temperatures so that I could drive to clean the DPF when it activated.
I never did a static regen until recently because I was leary of executing a PCM function with the laptop. And had been told from some where that I couldn't do it with the iPhone.
So one day recently I got bold and decided to give static regen a try with Forscan Lite via iphone, and it worked.
The other day I just happened to be over here reading and came across the post I made.
So I posted what I did. And still making an attempt at learning.

I like driving this truck. It has low milage Just under 55,000 now. Sadly I didn't get to use it for what I bought it for.
And there is anxiety of breaking down away from home.
I'm pushing 80 yrs old. Health and normal life stuff takes precedent.
So it's mostly local driving. But I drive it more milage to waste diesel and get it good and hot before I return home most of the time.
And complete every regen activation to the end.
I have since last year and recently had the cab/frame bushings replaced and the front end steering components that were becoming loose replaced.
And all four shocks replaced recently. I can't believe this stuff wore out so quickly.
The good thing, It feels like a new ride again.
My daughter is going to go with me on a trip in two weeks to a reunion in Arizona
of the 35th Infantry Regiment the unit I served with in VN.
I can only hope the drive goes with out an incident.
