I do this as hobby not my life's occupation. not interested in all the so called upgrades that they put in them the longevity just ain't there any more. now don't get me wrong they work damn good until they screw up and what you end with is a big *** headache and an empty pocket book because you try replacing too many parts and still can't seem to get the problem solved in the first place. like I said before my biggest downfall is I try to get something done in as little time and as little money as possible. not only that but I'm too damn proud to ask for help sometimes and yes I know that pride goeth before the fall

Have you checked the coolant temp sensor? I believe that there are 2. One is for your gauge/idiot light and the other is for the computer to adjust the fuel mixture. I had a bad on on an Crown Vic that cause the computyer to think that the engine was cold all the time causing it to run a rich mixture. Just a thoughsomething to look at.
