It might fit, but that's about all !
A lot depends on the year and model.
If computers are involved, it can get a little complicated

Default F250

I have a 89 f250 with a 460 gas engine with a bad transmission. I also have a 95 f350 super duty diesel with an automatic transmission. I'm swoping the f350 automatic transmission for a 5 speed zf manual transmission. So my q ? Can I fit the f350 diesel automatic transmission into the f250 460 gas truck ? They are both 4x4.

Patc,
I don't know the answer to your question because I have never done it.
There has to be a few guys here that have done a lot more swapping than me and hopefully they will respond.
