Default F250 4x4 hubs(2000)

I was told that my hubs cant be manually locked in is this true.

Welcome to the site..

If you gave ESOF then the hubs aren't technically locking units, they have 'auto' and 'lock' indicators, but the lock function is for a failsafe lockup should the ESOF not function..

Look at them, the 2000 F-250 that I had had the auto and lock positions clearly marked.

Manual hub locks have 'lock and free' on the dial,, ESOF has 'Auto and Lock',, yes they are technically a locking hub, but are not the same design and control.

the 'auto lock' hubs can ice up,and not function properly..
