Hello I am new to this page but the reason I joined is because I am at a loss with this truck. I just bought this truck 2 months ago 4x4 worked when I got it now it doesn't and this is what its doing. It is a 1997 f250 5.4 2v light duty 4x4 truck. When I turn the Switch from 2h to 4h or 4l it blows my fuse to my dash lights. I have went over all of the electrical I see nothing shorted nothing broken or rubbed through nothing is cut or spliced.... I've been through it inside and out took the dash apart put the truck on the lift went over the wires going to the transfer case. Someone told me either a bad headlight switch which I dont see how that could possibly be tied in the 4x4 switch other than to illuminate it at night. Another guy told me to replace the switch. I still think its something funky like a short I completely missed. Just wondering if someone ran into the same problem. Thanks!
