Default f250 7.3 sitting for 6 years

I have the chance to buy a 1995 f250 7.3 RWD with only 120k mi on it but its been sitting 6ish years uncovered in Alabama. I was able to start it after flushing the gas tank, getting new batteries, and replacing the solenoid. I was about to purchase but wanted a mechanics opinion prior to purchase (2500$). The mechanic told me the brakes need to be completely redone/rebuilt, new shocks are needed, new ball joints are needed from sitting that long. All in all i was quoted 3500 for labor / parts to fix the brakes, shocks, new tires, ball joints, and filters. The engine run and sounds great, but some oil is in the bottom of the valley. The transmission also seems to be shifting smooth. I am just concerned that if I buy this vehicle more work is going to be needed to remedy sitting that long. I think I would need about 5k in TLC on top of the 2500 purchase to fix it but i could be wrong. Wanted to check here , should I just purchase and work with the issues over time? best regards
