So Im trying to swap in a 6.9 idi and I know I could just buy a truck with one, but bare with me here.
Id like to find a 4x4 5spd manual transmission that will bolt up to my current gasser zf5 transfercase, having to shorten driveshafts isnt an issue, I just need something with an overdrive so im not topping out at 45mph.
looked at the zf6, read a little about a clark 5 speed, diesel zf5, t18.
2 speed rear axles dont come small enough, od gear vendors cost too much.... I work at a junkyard so parts arent hard to find, I just dont know what im looking for! lol
please help friends.
I can find a t18 bellhousing cheap, so anything I can attach to that and bolt up is better.
there is also a clark 5speed nearby for a good price. not sure how to tell what gear ratios it has?

 

would a t85 r11 have the correct bolt pattern for a t19 diesel bellhousing, and zf5 transfer case?
anyone know what the OD ratio on these is?
