f350 blues
i drive a 2003 f350 dually towing about 14000 pounds and ever since we had the truck we had nothing but problems with it...it has 171 thousand k on it and we replaced the turbo and turbo tubes and injectors and oil pump and fuel pump and injector module..it seens we get about 18 to 20 thousand k and something breaks down on it and the gas milage is horrible..we i am pulling it gets 6 to 7 mile to gallon at 60 miles an hour....i think i finall convinced the boss to buy a new truck.....though its a shame ford hit the mark with the torque curve and pulling power but the reliability of the moter sucks bad
I'm pretty sure that all vehicles are the same...there are good ones and bad ones...I know a guy who has a 2003 w/ 735,000 on it last time I checked and he's in love with the thing...every line of vehicles have their lemons...it's just too bad you got the one...
Well thats a shame , Hope what ever you end up with you have better luck ,,,, However a few things seem kinda odd , Like the injecters an the pump , both bad , That's VERY rare, An then the Turbo , An the Oil pump , Makes Me kinda think someone was sticking ya'll for parts , Maybe they wernt that familar with diesel's,,, Usually what kills a turbo is lack ok good oil ., An shutting one down rite after a run with out letting it cool down a bit will kill them every time , An then you may end up with bearing material in your oil from the drain side of the Turbo, An / Or if they didnt clean out the Air inlet side of the Turbo , Your putting metal down the motor , An on the newer diesels Fords have, There ( inj. ) activited by the oil, As is your Inj. pump lubed by the oil--- You see where Iam going ??? I'am thinking some of your problems may have been , cant think of the word Iam looking for , just kinda contuined from the orginal problem, But we'll never know
